Zangula Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Zangula ("Developer," "We," "Us," or "Our") collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the Zangula mobile application (the "App").

1. Important Note on Children's Privacy

The Zangula App is designed for children to learn the Kurdish alphabet and numbers through tracing and quizzing activities. We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) requirements.

For Children Under 13: The App is designed to operate without the need for a user account, login credentials, or the input of any personal details. Children can use the App fully offline, and all progress will be stored locally on the device. We do not knowingly collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from children under the age of 13.

For Users 13 and Older: Users may optionally create an account to sync their progress across devices. Account creation requires parental consent for users under 18. When an account is created, we collect only the minimum information necessary (email address and name) for account functionality.

2. Information We Collect

We collect data necessary to ensure the App functions properly and provides accurate educational feedback. All data collection is optional - users can use the App fully offline without creating an account.

A. Account Data (Optional - Only if User Creates an Account)

If a user chooses to create an account, we collect the following information to enable account functionality and sync progress across devices:

• Email address: Used for user authentication and account recovery.
• Name: Used for personalization within the App.
• Password: Stored securely (hashed) for authentication purposes.

Important: Account creation is completely optional. Users can use the App fully offline without creating an account, and all progress will be stored locally on the device.

B. Learning Progress Data

The App collects educational performance data necessary for app functionality:

• Educational Metrics:
  • Time taken to complete a tracing activity.
  • Accuracy score of tracing a letter or number.
  • Quiz results and point totals earned.
  • Progress tracking (e.g., which letters have been completed).
  • Completion timestamps.
• Device Information (Anonymous/Aggregated):
  • Type of device used (e.g., iPhone, Samsung Galaxy).
  • Operating system version (for compatibility purposes).
  • The App version being used.

Storage: This data is stored locally on the device. If a user creates an account, this data is also synced to our secure backend server to enable cross-device access.

C. Information We Do NOT Collect

The Zangula App does NOT collect the following information:

• Precise geographical location data.
• Photos, videos, or audio recordings.
• Phone numbers or physical addresses.
• Social media integration or sharing features that require PII.
• Any data for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. How We Use the Collected Information

The anonymous Usage and Performance Data we collect is used solely for the following purposes:

• To Facilitate App Functionality: To save the child's progress, track their points, and display their performance within the App.
• To Improve and Customize the App: To analyze which parts of the App are most used, identify potential bugs, and understand overall learning patterns to make educational improvements.
• For Internal Reporting: To track non-personal, aggregated metrics about App usage (e.g., "5,000 users completed the letter 'A' tracing this week").

4. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

Most performance and progress data (tracing scores, points) is stored locally on the device using secure local storage. This data is deleted if the App is uninstalled.

Backend Server Storage

If a user chooses to create an account, their learning progress data is synced to our secure backend server located at zangula.innovation-pulsehub.com. This enables users to access their progress from multiple devices. All data is stored securely and is never shared with third parties.

No Third-Party Analytics or Services

We do NOT use any third-party analytics services (such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or any other analytics platforms). We do NOT use any third-party services for data collection, storage, or processing. All data is stored exclusively on our own secure backend server.

Security

We are committed to ensuring the security of your data. While no digital service can guarantee 100% security, we implement industry-standard security measures to protect all data we collect from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All passwords are stored using secure hashing algorithms, and all data transmission is encrypted.

5. Data Sharing

We do NOT share, sell, trade, or rent ANY data to third parties.

All data collected by the Zangula App is stored exclusively on our own secure backend server (zangula.innovation-pulsehub.com) and is never shared with:

• Third-party analytics services
• Advertising networks
• Data brokers
• Marketing companies
• Any other third parties

We do not use any third-party services for data collection, storage, or processing. All data remains under our exclusive control and is used solely for the purposes outlined in Section 3 (App functionality, improvement, and internal reporting).

Authentication Providers: We use Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for user convenience, but these providers only authenticate the user identity. We do not receive any additional data from these providers beyond what is necessary for authentication purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Account Deletion: If you have created an account, you can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email address provided in Section 8.
• Local Data: You can clear your local progress data by uninstalling and reinstalling the App, or by using the reset functionality within the App settings (if available).
• Opt-Out: You can use the App without creating an account, which means no data will be sent to our servers - all data will remain local to your device.

We will honor all requests to delete user data within 30 days of the request.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting the information we collect.
